Get to know the Role:This role helps drive understanding of we have been running our business and helps drive understanding of key changes we need to make to become more effective in the future. This would involve designing, setting up, and maintaining a series of automated reports and dashboards for the Grab Financial Group (both local and regional). It also involves, helping set up and execute small scale business experiments that provides insight on how the business can find ways of being more effective. This requires working closely with various teams within Grab (Product, Data, Engineering etc.) to understand data requirements, identify and track key metrics, and provide data driven insights that are tailored and relevant to evolving marketing needs​.

The day-to-day activities:

  • Shape the development of Business Intelligence (BI) and Insights infrastructure including Data Warehousing, reporting and analytics platforms
  • Develop reporting, toolkits and dashboards for Grab Financial Groups to optimize performance, across digital and offline channels
  • Understand business requirements and work on objectives in order to conduct in-depth analysis on relevant customer data sets and propose actionable recommendations. The recommendations should provide strategic business insight and support the business in their decision making and planning process
  • To play a pivotal role in using data to be a business enabler
  • To identify new innovation opportunities and allows them to create strategies that will enhance business performance, grow market share, and build a competitive advantage for the company

The must haves:

  • Bachelors degree in Statistics, Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or other quantitative subjects are required
  • Knowledge of analytical tools, including Excel, database querying (SQL), relational databases, Tableau – preferred
  • Strong analytical experience and business acumen, preferably in e-commerce or internet industry
  • Ability to work with complex data sets, and combine data from multiple sources into a single dashboard/reporting system
  • Fast learner; ability to acquire new technical skills as needed
  • Versatile, self-driven, detail-oriented
  • Good communication skills
  • Full professional working proficiency in the English language is required
  • Programming skills such as Python will be an advantage
  • We use technologies like Holistics and Tableau. Any background in these or similar technologies is definitely a plus
